I purchased this desk from craigslist because I wanted a vanity so bad. I looked at the beautiful vanitys on Pinterest all the time and knew I could do it if I just found the perfect desk. What I did not know is that I had my work cut out for me. The desk had layers of paint on it, smelled bad, and had spider webs all under it. Still, I knew I could fix all the issues. I just didn't know how hard it would take to sand all the layers of paint off.

| I had to put about 4 coats of black paint on the top to make it look good |

| of course after cleaning the drawers, I had to spray paint them |

| Added a piece of plexiglass for the top to protect paint from makeup |

| I wanted some really nice knobs for the top drawer so I purchases these from Home Depot |

| I wired the vanity lights and added a remote control outlet |
 |
| And then there was lights! |
